Welcoming the 7th edition of the BESC AON

As we eagerly embrace the arrival of the 7th edition of THE BESC AON from 4th to 7th April, express gratitude to all team members for their tireless efforts in making this event possible and our journey ever more fulfilling. We extend sincere thanks to our dedicated contributors, whose passion and expertise continue to enrich our platform. Their valuable insights and creative contributions boost our community’s growth. Under the guidance of Bhawanipur Education Society College’s management, the secretariat, led by Secretary General Sofia Parveen, Deputy Secretary General Abhishek Shaw, and Chief of Staff Daivam Nishanth, spearheads this team of 90 individuals. Affectionately dubbed the “three musketeers,” they have been the driving force behind bringing this conference to life, serving as its heart, soul, and brains.

The BESC AON, that is, The Bhawanipur Education Society College Assembly Of Nations, is an annual MUN conference in Kolkata. With a decade-long legacy and six successful editions, it has been offering a vibrant platform for delegates to engage in discussions, simulate diplomatic scenarios, and refine negotiation skills. This year’s theme, #DelegateToDeliberate, aims to inspire youth to voice opinions and contribute to decisions on global issues. Deliberation involves discussing matters before making decisions. A curation of a diverse array of committees designed to inform, inspire, and entertain, this premier MUN conference aims to provide comprehensive immersion in MUN dynamics, fostering responsibility and personal growth.

Consistently drawing a remarkable crowd since 2014, we return with an impressive 300 delegates participating in 8 committees: UNSC, UNGA SPECPOL, UNCSW, UNHRC, World Bank, Lok Sabha, International Press, and UNDPPA. Our esteemed executive board members, hailing from diverse regions nationwide, include individuals pursuing degrees at prestigious universities or serving in governmental roles. They’re here to enhance debate quality with their insights and guide committees in forming resolutions on vital topics.

Boasting more than 3,000 followers on Instagram and consistently achieving over 100,000 views on our reels, our social media engagement efficiently attracts additional participants. The encouragement of our 21 collaborations and 2 blessing letters from the Governors of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh have motivated our team to redouble their efforts.

We’re more than just an MUN conference. Participants and organizers can enjoy a stand-up comedy performance by Rajat Chauhan post-conference, followed by the Ballroom Night for relaxation and fun. This creative outlet fosters camaraderie, creating lasting memories.
With fingers crossed and hearts pounding, we anticipate this conference will elevate the Assembly Of Nations legacy to new heights, leaving a lasting impression.
